Explanation
of the workings of a Spanish Registered
Club
When
the
club members vote in a President, they pass the
responsibility of running the club to the President
and he
then picks his supporting team which he can hire and fire
at will.
Our Spanish Registered Club is a non profit making business
with the President having autonomous authority. The Club is
responsible to the Spanish authorities and can access
finance from such authorities.
This fords us access to help from the Police and Town Halls
and to organize public raffles while being exempt from Tax,
unlike a nonregistered Club.
The
monthly General Meeting of the Club
is purely to pass information out to the
members and a
facility for the President, if
necessary,
to obtain information back; a sort
of talk shop.
The President and/or the Executive are where decisions are
made not in
the General Club Monthly Meetings.
The
General Club Meeting cannot make demands
on the President nor sanction him.
Nothing can be altered by a member as the
only person who can alter the running of the Club is
the President.
The AGM is the only place that
questions can be raised.
Legally
we are obliged to hold a meeting every 1st. Wednesday of
every month as laid down by Statutes.
As
explained above the
members have passed the responsibility of running the Club
to the President.
The President’s responsibility is to all the
members.
We have members who just holiday here or work here and have
limited free time or those that spend time in their
original Country or are retired or members that do not
have a
car and wish
to belong and they
all must be taken care of.
The Executive reserve the right to refuse or expel members.
The Chairman can at any time take command if something is
causing or is likely to cause legal
problems.
